Home At Last Animal Haven (Halah) is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are supported solely by your tax deductible donations and do not receive funding from county, state or federal entities. Volunteer to help the rescue dogs at Home At Last:

  • Working with our dogs at the Halah grounds (outside) see description below†
  • Volunteering at our adoption events — check the “Adopt Us” page for the next adoption event. Email Debye Yadon Humphrey for more information.
  • Helping transport Halah dogs to or from adoptions
  • Group Projects are welcomed for Classes, Organizations, or Offices who wish to help Halah in other creative ways

†We work at The Haven to socialize our dogs, acquaint them with collars, leashes, or halters, and familiarize them with human, hands on, attention. There is also lots of cleaning and picking up to be done. Volunteering on site is guaranteed to get you dirty, so it is not recommended for “nice” clothes or anyone not used to rowdy dogs.  It is out doors.  Representing the true meaning of the phrase: it is a dirty job, but somebody has to do it!
